Cricket Offers New Mobile Music Service

February 10, 2009 -- Cricket Communications today launched Mobile Music, allowing Cricket customers the ability to easily download songs directly to their wireless devices and/or personal computers.

Customers can search music by artist, album, song and genre to purchase tracks and download them directly to their Cricket phone for $1.99 each, or receive three download credits for a $5 monthly charge. Songs are available online at www.mycricket.com for $.99 each and customers can use Cricket’s Music Manager software to sideload the tracks to their mobile phone, or buy two copies of each song, one for their PC and one for their phone for $2.25 per song.

To kick-off the new Mobile Music offering, Cricket has partnered with Grammy-nominated artist and record producer Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em for a multifaceted promotion featuring his new hit single “Kiss Me Thru the Phone.” Through February 14, ringback tone subscribers can get a limited license free copy of the new single to be used for two weeks, the first 100 customers to download the track each day during the promotion will receive it for free, and customers will have a chance to enter an online contest to win one of 500 Samsung Jet Set handsets and a free month of Cricket service. Additionally, ringback tone, Mobile Music and Mobile Video customers can enter a download-to-win contest, whereby each download or new subscription is a chance to win a trip for two to see Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em in concert and an exclusive meet and greet.

“Cricket Mobile Music is a great way for our customers to enjoy their favorite music while on the go without the need to cart around another music-only device,” said Jeff Toig, vice president of product marketing for Cricket. “Our customers have demonstrated a desire to personalize their phones with music-related features such as ringtones, ringback tones and mobile video. Mobile Music lets users further personalize their phones, making Cricket a one-stop shop for both their communications and mobile entertainment needs.”

Cricket’s Mobile Music service is fully managed by LiveWire Mobile. “We are pleased to provide Cricket with another service from our mobile personalization suite,” said Joel Hughes, CEO of LiveWire Mobile. “Our music merchandising expertise and extensive content library will provide customers with a fun and easy mobile music experience and help drive customer usage and adoption.”

Customers can sign up for Mobile Music over the air, online or at Cricket stores and dealers. To experience Mobile Music, customers need a music-capable Cricket 3G handset, with an integrated music player and memory card. Mobile Music is currently available on Cricket’s 3G devices, including the Motorola ROKR, KRZR, SLVR and RZR2; and Samsung JetSet, r610 and r500.

Horrible Customer Service

Apparently, you've hired a few people who seemed as though they were proffessional and had good communication with customers, well I must say that there is a young lady named Treese (which I'm not sure of the correct spelling) because she refuse to give it. She was handleling my Account and could not get any Information correct. She did NOT SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH and to top it off, had a very bad ATTITUDE, when I asked to speak to her Supervisor she gave me many excuses as to her where abouts. She left me on hold for a very long time and this situation has left me Very Frustratred. She was looking at the wrong Account and continued to procede with Confidential Information of someone elses Account (Just wasn't LISTENING) She then went on ahead to tell me that my Social Security Number didn't match my Account, which I've paid my bill many of times and never had a problem with my SSN or any thing else. This Employee has given your Company a Bad Reputation and others were witnessing my conversation and stated that they do not want to use you, especially seeing what I had to go through. I am very Dissapointed, Dissatisfied with your Customer Service. As an overall, your Cell Phone Plans are great! Please look into this matter and try to hire people with Proper Diction and a Curteous Disposistion, Please Respond.

Thank You
Dissatisfied Customer

really bad service with at&t

I have had a contract with AT&T since dec,of 2005 I have had nothing but nightmares with this company since day one.and I'm stuck with there contract till 12-2011 or I have to pay $150.00 to break my contract and $150.00 for my daughters phone,we are both on the same account. my question is as long as I pay something every month they can't turn it over to a collection agency is that correct ? And is this even legal for them to charge me this ridiculous price?
