Continental Airlines Announces Nonstop Service Between Daytona Beach and New Yor

(NYSE: CAL) today announced that it will begin twice daily, nonstop service
from Daytona Beach, Fla., to its hub at Newark International Airport,
beginning Dec. 12, 2002.
The new Continental Express flights aboard the fast, quiet 50-passenger ERJ-145 ExpressJet represent the only nonstop service between the New York City area and Daytona Beach International Airport, which received funds through a new federal program designed to improve air service in smaller communities. "We look forward to launching nonstop service between Daytona Beach and the New York City area's premier airport and only airline hub," said Continental Senior Vice President-Scheduling Glen Hauenstein. "We're grateful to Congressman Mica and to all of those whose strong support and active encouragement made this new service possible."

"Our community is committed to supporting this new Continental Express service."
