Compaq Introduces New Presario 7000T
April 24 -- Compaq today announced the availability of the new Intel Pentium 4 1.7 GHz processor on the Presario 7000T Series.
Available through Compaq's "Built for You" program, the Presario 7000T is the perfect PC for extreme gaming, digital video editing and sophisticated graphics applications. The Presario 7000T Series is available in a highly expandable minitower form factor for maximum expandability and customization. In addition, the new Intel Pentium 4 1.7GHz processor boasts the new NetBurst micro-architecture that is ideal for power users who demand the high level of performance and power. The combination of this architecture and new high-speed processor makes the Presario 7000T the perfect PC for streaming video off of the Internet, creating multimedia projects and presentations and recording audio. For the video enthusiast in all of us, the Presario 7000T is available with the exciting MyMovieSTUDIO solution, which allows customers to record and edit professional-looking home movies with recordable DVD-R technology.
Starting at $1,933, the 7000T basic configuration includes 128 MB of PC800 RAMBUS memory, a 20 GB hard drive, 56K v.90 modem, 48X CD ROM, 32 MB nVidia GeoForce2 graphics, a CV735 17" monitor and JBL Pro Premium Speakers. The 7000T Series is available for purchase today through Compaq's "Built for You" kiosks at participating retailers, on Compaq's Web site at www.compaq.com and by calling 1-800-888-0220.
