Catch the Fun at the 27th Annual Destin Seafood Festival Oct. 7 - 9

Sept. 21 - Boasting big headliners, more arts & crafts vendors than ever before, and adventures in Tadpole Town, the Destin Seafood Festival opens Oct. 7 - 9, 2005, at the Morgan Sports Center, in the heart of Destin, FL.

From jewelry, clothing, and hats to paintings, woodworking, and glassware, you will find the perfect gift for yourself or anyone on your shopping list among the 105 arts & crafts booths. Kids will discover an ocean of adventure in Tadpole Town, with kite-flying demonstrations, fly-casting instruction, a rock wall, hands-on exhibits, clowns, and more. 15 food vendors will offer a sea of treats in the Festival Food Court. Local restaurants and caterers include Les Go Catering, Landry's, Kenny D's, McGuire's Irish Pub, and Bruster's Old Fashioned Ice Cream & Yogurt.

A cheering exhibition from the City of Destin, followed by headliner The Grass Roots, starring original lead singer Rob Grill, kick off the Festival's entertainment on Friday. On Saturday, the line up begins with Irish Dancers and the Lady Knight Dancers, followed by local artists Stealth, Chuck Lawson, and Black Eyed Blonde. On Saturday evening, John Waite, performing an acoustic set, will open for headliner Lou Gramm, lead singer of Foreigner. Sunday's entertainment includes Jones & Co., Ted Shumate & Sal Salaz Project, and The Catalinas.

Gates open Friday from 4 - 10 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. -10 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Limited-edition, commemorative admission buttons, which allow admission into the Festival for the entire weekend, are now on sale for $5. Children under the age of 12 are admitted free.
