Blockbuster Offering In-Store Unlimited Movie Rentals for $14.99 a Month

March 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Blockbuster now offers its in-store customers the ability to rent as many movies as they want for the same low $14.99 monthly fee that current online subscribers enjoy. And for new subscribers to the in-store or online movie subscription programs, the introductory price is $9.99 for the first month.

With no due dates or late fees, customers who purchase the in-store BLOCKBUSTER Movie Pass at this special price can rent unlimited movies, one at a time, while customers who choose the BLOCKBUSTER Online option can rent three movies at a time, and receive two free in-store rentals each month good for movies or games. This offer marks the first joint communication for the company's in-store and online movie subscription programs.

"Blockbuster is the only company that lets customers choose to rent their movies at the store or through the mail," said Nick Shepherd, executive vice president and president of U.S. Store Operations at Blockbuster. "This latest offer is another example of our commitment to becoming the complete source for home entertainment, and serves as a signal of our ultimate goal to integrate the company's in-store and online rental operations."
