Avery Dennison Office Products Launches New Avery Personal Label Printer
Avery Dennison has long been known for helping make formatting and printing labels and other printable supplies fast and easy with great results. Avery Dennison's history of innovation began when its founder, Stan Avery, invented the self-adhesive label in 1935. Later, in the 1980s, when desktop computers and printers started to arrive in offices, Avery Dennison introduced the first Avery labels that could work with desktop printers. Today, Avery product templates are pre-installed in more than 100 popular software programs. Avery Dennison also continues to lead in the area of product innovations, such as when it recently introduced labels that are guaranteed to provide jam and smudge free printing.
"The new Avery Personal Label Printer offers convenience in today's busy workplace environment, which can be full of interruptions," said Todd Thompson, vice president of Marketing, Research and Development for Avery Dennison Office Products. "Consumers turn to Avery brand labels because they are easy to format and print. With the introduction of the Personal Label Printer, consumers can print Avery labels at their desktop whenever they need them, providing a quick and convenient solution."
The Avery Personal Label Printer prints labels on demand and connects to a PC with a Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable included with the product. Consumers will have several easy label formatting options to select from: the new Avery Assistant software wizard, Avery Templates in Microsoft Word and Avery DesignPro software. The Avery Assistant software gives consumers the ability to access addresses from Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access or Microsoft Outlook. This software also gives consumers the ability to easily add graphics or bar codes to their labels, as well as verify addresses online. The Avery Assistant and Avery DesignPro software programs are included in the box, as well as easy to use Avery Templates for Microsoft Word.
The Avery Personal Label Printer has two peel settings, depending on the project. The peel mode dispenses labels without the backing sheet so they're ready to use immediately. The standard mode allows consumers to print the labels with the backing paper intact and use them one at a time or in batches. Avery Dennison is also launching four new thermal label rolls of Avery White Multi-Purpose Labels to work with the new Avery Personal Label Printer. The four label sizes help consumers conveniently complete everyday office tasks like mailing, filing, shipping and identification, as well as bar coding, name badges and asset tagging.
The retail price for the new Avery Personal Laser Printer is expected to range from $99.99 to $149.99 (MSRP) and $10.99 to $13.35 (MSRP) per package for the label supplies. The new products will be sold in most of the traditional distributors where other Avery products are sold, including office products retailers and dealers.
