Argus Photo Phazer Brings Fun to the World of Digital Photography
June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Argus Camera, a leading provider of quality digital, 35mm and Advanced Photo System (APS) cameras, brings fun to the world of digital photography with its new DC-2300 Photo Phazer.Aimed at the average consumer, this pistol-shaped camera makes it easy for the average consumer to experience the world of digital photos without having to invest $600 or $800 in a multi-megapixel camera just to be able to email snapshots of your children or your latest excursion to the folks back home.
"Argus was started in 1936 to provide affordable camera products for the individual or family," says Bill Pearson, president of Argus Camera. "People may forget their names or where they live, but they never forget their cameras." The Photo Phazer comes with a holster and a belt clip, which means that next picture is only a quick-draw away. It also features eight megabytes of built-in memory, an LCD status display, a built-in USB port, and the ability to store 60 seconds of video. Photos are taken at a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels, which is high enough for display on the average PC or to send to friends and relatives via email. All that is required is a 133 megahertz personal computer running Windows 98 with 32 megabytes of RAM, 200 megabytes of available space on your hard drive, a CD-ROM drive and a USB port. The price range for the Photo Phazer is $59.99 to $69.99, but can be found on sale at most major retail chains for $49.99.
