Agfa’s New Digital Labs at PhotoPlus ExpoSeptember 2003 — Agfa Consumer Imaging will present its newest digital labs – the Agfa d-lab.1 and the Agfa d-lab.2plus – at the PhotoPlus Expo, which opens October 30th at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. “This is the first joint appearance in North America of our two new digilabs,” said Wayne Strobel, Agfa’s Senior Marketing Manager for minilab equipment. “They offer innovation, flexibility and outstanding quality results for retailers looking to serve the expanding digital market across the spectrum. On capability and price performance alone, they both should be winners.”
Also on display at the show are:
Agfa d-lab.1 With a footprint of just 17 sq. ft., including the film processor, the d-lab.1 is a powerful miniature giant. The space of 45 sq. ft. required for operation is also well below that of competitive equipment in this performance class, permitting optimization of the earnings per unit of area.
Agfa d-lab.2plus The d-lab.2plus can produce up to 1,700 prints per hour in 4 x 6" format with optimum d-TFS quality from analog and digital media, as well as large-format prints up to 12 x 18". Agfa’s new easy paper box 110, a chemical replenisher product for use in Agfa d-labs with automated docking systems, assures simple, reliable operation for both new minilabs. The new Agfacolor Prestige 3 and Agfacolor Type 12 photographic papers round off the systems. “With new digilabs, new film, new papers and chemical products, we have a lot to show and a great message to tell retailers attending the show. We encourage them to visit our booth and examine the latest and greatest in the industry,” Strobel said.
