Agfa Launches International B&W Photo Competition

April 2003 – Black-and-white photography concentrates on the essentials. That defines its particular charm and, at the same time, its inherent challenge. To encourage photographers to embrace both its charm and its challenge, Agfa just announced “Action, Emotion & Memories”, an international B&W photo competition being held from May 15 to August 15, 2003.

“What we're looking for is pictures from the midst of life, with an eye for atmospheres and emotions, for unforgettable moments,” said Peter Lebovitz, Agfa Senior Marketing Manager. “The top three winners will find their competition photo and their name on the new packaging of Agfa Multicontrast range photo paper starting in 2004.”

In addition, each photographer of the best twelve entries selected by the professional jury will be awarded a Leica camera. And, the winners will attract worldwide attention with the publication of their photos and names in a high-quality 2004 calendar that will be sold worldwide starting in October 2003.
