Razor Brings an Electrifying Line-Up to the 2004 Toy Fair

February 2004 (Newstream) -- Razor is turning up the heat on its new line of ride-on toys at the Toy Industry Association's (TIA) 2004 American International Toy Fair in New York, February 15-18. Razor will occupy booth #5346 at the Javits Convention Center and introduce the Ground Force, an electric go-kart, and the Pocket Rocket, an electric pocket bike. In addition to its two new electric products, Razor introduces the new Mean Machine, a souped-up version of the low riding three-wheeler with rear axle turning.

Razor's 2003 electric line, which topped holiday wish lists and far exceeded projected sales, has garnered much praise within the toy industry, including being nominated for top honors at this year's Toy Fair. The XLR8R electric scooter is a finalist for TIA's Outdoor Toy of the Year award, making this the fourth consecutive year that a Razor product has been nominated. Razor took the prize home in 2000 for the wildly popular Razor scooter.

"We're really excited about all of our new products, especially the Ground Force and the Pocket Rocket-they're next in Razor's line of neighborhood-envy toys," said Carlton Calvin, president of Razor USA. "We're also pleased about this year's nomination for the XLR8R as Outdoor Toy of the Year. This nomination tells us that we're consistently meeting the standards we set for all Razor products."

The following are products Razor will unveil at the American International Toy Fair 2004:

The Ground Force is the ideal toy for junior racers-in-training, giving kids the excitement of driving their own go-kart. The Ground Force cruises up to 12 mph, is for use in controlled riding environments by riders ages 10 and up (maximum weight of 220 pounds) and is available at retail for $249.99.

The Pocket Rocket is an electric powered replica of real racing pocket bikes that's perfect for junior thrill seekers. The Pocket Rocket travels up to 15 mph, is for use in controlled riding environments by riders ages 10 and up (maximum weight of 220 pounds) and is available at retail for $229.99.

The Mean Machine is Razor's latest three-wheeling machine that proves you don't need to be on two wheels to be cool. The Mean Machine is for riders ages eight and up (maximum weight of 220 pounds) and is available at retail for $69.99.

Razor USA always advocates safety and recommends riders wear the proper safety gear, use common sense and check and obey local laws regarding use of any such product on public property. Razor USA's newest products will be available at quality retailers in spring 2004.
