These silent cellos allow you to put on a pair of headphones and enjoy concert quality sound while creating very little external noise. They can do this by eliminating the internal amp cavity which is present on traditional cellos - quality audio pick up is connected to an internal effects processor (powered by 2 AA batteries) that places sound in a user-selected acoustic space such as practice room or concert hall. The Silent Electric Cello sells for $2495, $2695 for the Compact version.
