Leapfrog's Book Based on the Finding Nemo Helps Kids Bring the Adventure Home
Jul. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LeapFrog has teamed up with the creators of Toy Story 1, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc., to produce a book based on the animated feature film Finding Nemo, a Walt Disney Pictures Presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios Film. The book is for use with LeapPad learning system, the best-selling learning platform in the U.S. In the LeapPad book, Nemo and his friends help teach kids life science, reading vocabulary, classification and reading comprehension through storytelling and fun underwater games. Finding Nemo joins a growing library of more than 50 titles in the LeapPad library.
The Finding Nemo book for the LeapPad system rides the wave of months of creative collaboration between the animation geniuses at Pixar and the LeapFrog content team throughout the development of the film. Many of the original voices from the cast have found their way across the ocean to the Finding Nemo book for the LeapPad system, including Ellen DeGeneres, Willem Dafoe, Allison Janney, Alexander Gould and Pixar director Andrew Stanton. LeapFrog and Disney/Pixar's first joint book project, Monsters, Inc., was released in 2001 and remains one of the top selling LeapPad titles.
"Nemo and Marlin's rich exploration of the underwater world made it possible to build on this experience to teach science and vocabulary by capitalizing on the excitement of the adventure. Our work with Disney and Pixar throughout the creative process provided us with insights that enabled us to create unique games that would capitalize on themes in the movie," stated Jeff Cronk, director of marketing for the LeapPad system.
