LeapFrog Unveils Learning Center at the 2002 Toy Fair
LeapFrog’s Learning Center Features New Products
The LeapFrog Learning Center features key offerings from the company’s new 2002 product line, which continue to provide children with the opportunity to learn and succeed in an engaging way that inspires a life long love of learning. Building on its legacy of creating fun, innovative educational products, LeapFrog is expanding its product line to help children learn their way through music play, introduce them to reading with a comprehensive phonics series and revolutionize studying for middle school tests and SATs with a cool new handheld device.
Highlights of LeapFrog’s new 2002 products include:
LeapPad Learning System:
LeapFrog’s LeapPad learning system, My First LeapPad and LeapPad Books introduce reading and other important subjects in a delightful way that children love — helping to foster an early love for books and learning. In addition to an expanded library of more than 50 books, new LeapPad offerings in 2002 include:
- LeapPad Phonics Program – utilizes the LeapPad for a fun and engaging step-by-step approach to teaching children the most important lessons of all, letters and sounds, which are the building blocks to learning how to read.
- My First LeapPad Library – in 2002, LeapFrog expands the My First LeapPad Library to include eight books in pre-math, pre-reading and early learning/discovery that help develop distinct educational skills within the context of a story theme and interactive games.
Infant & Toddler:
LeapFrog’s infant and toddler products are the first steps in developing a child’s passion for learning with a unique approach that incorporates a combination of skills to nurture physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. In 2002, LeapFrog introduces the LeapFrog LeapBaby Learning Benefits Icon system, making it simple for parents to choose products appropriate to their child’s abilities by identifying the learning benefits of each product. New 2002 infant & toddler products include:
- LeapStart Learning Table – part of a three-product line that nurtures an infant’s natural love of music through a fully interactive musical play experience. The LeapStart Learning Table introduces infants and toddlers to the entire alphabet, counting 1-10, shapes, and colors, while helping them to achieve the developmental milestone of pulling themselves up to standing.
- Learning Hoops Basketball – brings the fun of basketball lights and sounds together with interactive counting play – learn numbers and counting 1-10, as well as the alphabet.
Preschool:
LeapFrog is committed to providing preschoolers with fun and engaging products that cultivate successful learning experiences and instill confidence to help children prepare for kindergarten. To continue LeapFrog’s success in the preschool Electronic Learning Aid (ELA) category in 2002, the company is expanding its line of top selling products into new preschool toy categories, including role-play and vehicles:
- Pretend & Learn Shopping Cart – enhances traditional shopping role-play with interactive learning activities that encourage imagination and creativity while teaching pre-math, including numbers, counting, quantities and more than/less than concepts.
- Leap’s Phonics Railroad – captivates children in a rich train-play experience and teaches the alphabet and phonics as children manipulate blocks and interact with fun destinations along the train track like the ABC Construction Site and Phonics Hill.
Quantum Leap:
LeapFrog’s Quantum Leap learning products take studying to a whole new level of interactive fun for grade and secondary school students. For the first time, this year LeapFrog will extend the Quantum Leap line to meet the interests and needs of high school students.
- iQuest Interactive Talking Handheld – a cool new handheld learning device that revolutionizes the way middle schoolers study for this week’s social studies, science or math test, and helps high school students prepare for the SAT/PSAT/ACT with vocabulary, math, and reading comprehension questions, as well as practice tests prepared by the test experts at Stanley Kaplan.
- Quantum Pad System – the first interactive learning system designed to spark students’ enthusiasm for mastering fundamental grade school subjects and skills while encouraging them to learn at their own pace through fun stories, games and quizzes.
