Epson just announced four new 3LCD 1080p high-definition home theater projectors at CEDIA – the PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 and 8500 UB, and Pro Cinema 9100 and 9500 UB.

The Home Cinema 8100 is designed for home entertainment and AV enthusiasts with a budget in mind. Priced at just $1599, this projector has a contrast ratio of up to 36,000:1 (double that of previous models) and brightness of 1,800 lumens for beautiful image quality in either a dark or lighted room. Epson has added a new compact 17-inch printer to their lineup– the Epson Stylus Pro 3880. The printer gives you gallery quality prints up to 17" x 22", thanks to its MicroPiezo AMC print head and UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta ink technology.

Epson just introduced two new photo all-in-ones – the Artisan 810 and Artisan 710. Both all-in-ones feature built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet, wireless printing from an iPhone, fast print speeds, and many creative applications. Not only can you scan, copy and print, these AIO's offer double-sided printing to save paper, and have built-in Automatic Photo Correction to improve poorly exposed images. Also, using the front USB port, you can charge your cell phone, GPS device or MP3 player.

Do you need a fax too? In addition to the above features, the Artisan 810 has a built-in fax, 7.8-inch smart touch panel with a 3.5-inch LCD screen, and a 30-page Automatic Document Feeder for added convenience. Read more

Epson just announced that they are offering a $40 instant rebate on two of their AIO printers – the Epson Stylus NX415 and Epson Stylus NX515. The $40 discount will be applied instantly at checkout through the end of August.

Both printers have fast print and copy speeds, a 2.5-inch color LCD screens, memory card slots, one-touch copy functions, manual two-sided printing, and instant-drying DURABrite Ultra inks. The Epson Artisan 50 is an affordable (MSRP $99.99), high-performance single function ink jet printer. It helps enable users to produce Ultra Hi-Definition photos with excellent depth and clarity. HP announced the print from mobile at CES this year. Here is the free iPhone App. BlackBerry's are now printing from mobile devices, www.blackberry.com/hp. Now Epson is joining in the fun of print from your iPhone or iPod Touch to their printers. The only reason Epson will not see the success from this App is their decision to charge $6.99, and HP gives theirs away. It is my opinion that Epson will sell more printers and ink if they give this App away for free.

Now, with all the buzz on the digital tablets, and the speculation that Apple will release a touch screen digital tablet to rival the SONY Reader, and Amazon Kindle – Epson should take note, and seriously reconsider charging people for drivers to print on their printers.
