NVIDIA and Eidos Interactive Team Up to Showcase PC Games at E3
May 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NVIDIA today announced that it has teamed with Eidos Interactive to showcase select PC games, including Deus Ex: The Invisible War, Thief 3, and Republic at this week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) beginning May 14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Each title will be showcased on PCs powered exclusively by the new NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 series of graphics processing units (GPUs) to demonstrate the evolution of the cinematic PC gaming experience on the ultimate gaming platform.
In addition, the two companies also announced a comarketing campaign for Deus Ex as part of the "NVIDIA: The way it's meant to be played," (TWIMTBP) program. Developed on and optimized for NVIDIA hardware, Deus Ex will carry the NVIDIA TWIMTBP seal on its retail packaging and in advertisements to increase consumer awareness for the best way to play. NVIDIA's TWIMTBP program was designed to educate consumers on how to get the ultimate gaming experience through unmatched compatibility, stability, and reliability and unsurpassed visual fidelity.
"NVIDIA GeForce FX provides us with a state-of-the-art platform that allows us to create the kind of exciting new visual effects and innovative features we could only imagine before," said Warren Spector, Studio Director at Ion Storm. "We have a clear vision for Deus Ex and NVIDIA has played an integral role in helping us realize that vision by providing the team with a terrific platform for development. But, even more important to all of us at Ion Storm, NVIDIA has provided a platform that allows gamers to experience Deus Ex exactly the way we intended." Deus Ex takes advantage of GeForce FX features to deliver a dynamic first-person action/adventure experience with unprecedented levels of realism and immersion. Deus Ex places gamers at the heart of an intensely visual post-apocalyptic world, brought to life in vivid detail through dynamic real-time lighting, shadowing, and advanced rendering techniques.
The award-winning GeForce FX family of GPUs, which includes the GeForce FX 5200, 5600, and 5900 models, are designed to address a full range of price and performance levels, all sharing the same cinematic computing feature set, including the NVIDIA CineFX architecture with advanced vertex and pixel shaders for stunning special effects. The GeForce FX family of desktop graphics processors is supported by the NVIDIA Unified Driver Architecture (UDA)-the industry's only true binary-compatible software architecture, guaranteeing software compatibility and stability, enabling the industry's most reliable graphics platform.
Deus Ex, Thief 3, and Republic can be experienced at the NVIDIA (South Hall 1636) and Eidos booths at E3.
