Acclaim Sports to Kick Some Asphalt With 'Urban Freestyle Soccer'
May 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- E3 -- Eliminating the need for a referee to pull a red card during a heated match, Acclaim Sports today unveiled Urban Freestyle Soccer, a no-holds-barred, 4-on-4, arcade-style street soccer game. Urban Freestyle Soccer takes the world's most popular sport back to its street roots with gang-style teams competing against their rivals for the right to lay claim to their home turf. Urban Freestyle Soccer will feature special player moves, combos, power-ups and playing fields set on the hard blacktop of the city.
"Soccer has the highest participation rate of any sport in the world today," said David Knies, Director of Acclaim Sports. "We're taking a fresh approach with Urban Freestyle Soccer by moving the game off of the grass and onto the streets, and infusing it with fast and addictive arcade-style gameplay that will appeal to the masses and soccer fans alike."
Urban Freestyle Soccer includes:
- First-ever 4-on-4, arcade-style street soccer gameplay;
- 10 gang-style teams, each with their own home playing fields and theme music;
