Gateway Updates its FX, DX and SX Series Desktop PCs

January 6, 2011-- Gateway just announced powerful new models and updated designs across its line of multimedia, high-performance and small-form factor desktop PCs.

Gateway's line of FX high-performance and DX multimedia PCs now offer the second generation Intel Core processors and Intel H67 Express Chipset, providing all the horsepower needed to fuel the most demanding CPU and graphic-intensive applications. The FX line also sees the addition of the new NVIDIA GeForce GT440 graphics, providing an adrenaline shot of performance for intense and responsive, visually stunning graphics.

The second generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors deliver a boost in performance automatically when needed, using Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. They also include a rich set of new features for a stunning and seamless visual PC experience with no additional hardware required. Gateway Unveils New FX, DX and SX Desktop PCs

Gateway today announced new desktop PCs for gamers, multimedia enthusiasts, as well as those looking for a small form factor computer.

Two new FX Series gaming PCs were unveiled. Both come packed with a 1.5TB drive, ATI Radeon HD5850 graphics, Intel Core i7-860 processor with Turbo Boost Technology, 16X DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti Drive and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The FX6831-03 also boasts a Blu-ray drive and 16GB of DDR3 memory.

The FX Series has been redesigned too. Featuring new lighting accents, and a modernized chassis, not only does it look cool, the new design makes it easy to access ports. The top front of the PC includes high-def headphone and microphone jacks and an angled media card reader. It also includes a recessed storage tray on the top of the chassis, so you can place your camera, MP3 player etc. on it when downloading files. Two additional USB ports are on the back of the tray. Gateway Announces New Mini-Tower and Small Form Factor PCs

Gateway has just announced two smaller, more powerful back-to-school desktop PCs. From the tiny small form factor SX Series to the compact DX Series mini-tower line, Gateway's new desktops are big on value, power and features.

The Gateway SX small form factor PC, pictured above, comes with a 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Quad processor, GMA X4500 integrated graphics card, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM, 640GB HDD, an 18x DVD writer, multi-card reader, nine USB 2.0 ports, multi-card reader, firewire and eSATA, HDMI and VGA outputs, and Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. All of this will cost you just $499.

The Gateway DX mini-tower boasts either an Intel Core 2 Quad or AMD Phenom X4 with either an NVIDIA GeForce G210 or ATI Radeon 4650 graphics card. You can also get up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, 1TB HDD, eight USB 2.0 ports, and all the other amenities of the SX sff for a starting price of $750.
