Sony Intros New S-Frame Digital Photo Frames

Sony this week announced three new S-Frame digital photo frames - the DPF-XR100, DPF-VR100 and DPF-D830. Two of the models, the DPF-XR100 and DPF-VR100 do more than just show photos, they offer AVCHD video playback, allowing you to watch HD videos on the frame. Also, the DPF-D830 is Sony's first battery operated digital photo frame.

Featuring a 10.2-inch (diagonal) WSVGA LED backlight LCD screen, the XR100 and VR100 offer AVCHD video playback via media card. The frames also feature stereo audio, an alarm mode and Sweep Panorama playback. The S-Frame XR100 includes Sony's TruBlack technology to reduce reflection and enhance the contrast.

The D830 sports an 8-inch (diagonal) SVGA LED backlight LCD display and has a built-in rechargeable battery, making it portable.Read more

I told you about the eStarling TouchConnect digital frame with 802.11n WiFi when it was announced last month, and now PF Digital announced they have added some new features to the frame. The company also lowered the price (but we'll get to that later).

The eStarling TouchConnect digital frame has a full touch-sensitive screen, 10.2-inch LCD display, 2GB Flash memory, and supports SD media cards.
