Cardp Systems Announces New Bluetooth Headset for Motorcyclists
March 2005 – Cardo Systems, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of wireless Bluetooth devices for the consumer market, just announced at the CITA EasyRider, a Bluetooth headset for motorcycle helmets.
Specially designed for motorcycle helmets, the EasyRider includes a wind-resistant microphone that provides clear audio for communicating while on a motorcycle. Unlike any competing product, the EasyRider also offers an FM radio with multiple memory stations as well as a small remote control unit that attaches to the handlebar. With the EasyRider, users don't have to remove their hands from the handlebar to manage the most important cellphone and radio functions. Unique voice control functions add further safety and comfort to this high-end device.
The fashionable EasyRider kit works with all Bluetooth mobile phones and offers superb features, ease of use and assembly. The super slim speaker fits all helmets, and its advanced features allow users to initiate, receive or reject calls by voice-control.
“The new EasyRider Bluetooth Headset is a truly unique and immensely feature-rich solution to a real need,” said Abraham Glezerman, Cardo's Chairman and CEO. “Now motorcyclists too can benefit from wireless hands-free communication without compromising security or comfort. By empowering motorcycle enthusiasts with cellular use, EasyRider is poised to add a huge and hitherto largely neglected community to the world of wireless mobile communication".
EasyRider advantages for bikers:
- Receive initiate or reject calls either directly from the headset or by voice control or remote control while riding a motorcycle, without the need to let go of the handlebar;
- Use a small, stream-lined headset that is fully weather protected even in rainy and snowy conditions;
- Self-install and begin using the entire system within five minutes, leaving no traces on the helmet when the headset is removed. Cardo's quick-release and re-attachment mechanism for the headset unit renders glue and Velcro obsolete. Just slide it in and out;
- Take advantage of a high fidelity balancing (HIB) Microphone for clear audio even at inter-city speed conditions;
- Benefit from perfect speaker volume at all times without the need for manual adjustments. Thanks to Cardo's embedded Automatic Volume Adjustment technology the speaker volume self-adjusts automatically according to ambient noise level and driving speed;
- Initiate or reject calls by voice control;
- Enjoy FM Radio while on the road. Also great for listening to weather and traffic reports;
- Use the headset and/or radio for approx. 6 hours until recharging from any regular outlet. The Remote Control is powered by standard CR2 batteries and can be attached/removed in minutes.
The EasyRider Bluetooth Headset is available through select distributors, retail outlets and directly from the Cardo website (www.cardowireless.com).
The EasyRider offered in three versions:
