Audiovox Unveils Wireless Wonders at CTIA 2004
March 2004 - Audiovox just announced a new suite of wireless phones ranging from ACC's first swivel style camera phone to an affordable and stylish clamshell-style "flip phone." The CDM-8930, CDM-8920, CDM-8910 and the CDM-8615 are being introduced at CTIA Wireless 2004 in Atlanta.
CDM-8930
One of Audiovox's most unique new handsets is the CDM-8930, a swivel clamshell-style 1.3 mega pixel camera phone with macro function and built-in flash. Complete with a camcorder that can record and store up to 10 minutes of video (delivery capabilities vary by network), these capabilities allow users to share important moments instantaneously. The camera can hold 20 photos that can be emailed directly from the handset (system dependent).
The handset is equipped with a 262K TFT 2" LCD display, stereo speaker, a built-in two-way speakerphone, voice activated dialing and CMX 64 polyphonic ringers and stereo sound.
The CDM-8930 is Java/BREW(tm) capable, data capable with USB interface (up to 144 kbps) and has MPEG-4 encoding and decoding plus two-way MMS/SMS capability, all system dependent.
The handset is tri-mode (800/1900 MHz CDMA, Amps), CDMA2000 1X capable (system dependent) and features the MSM6100 chipset that is GPSOne(tm) capable (E911 Phase2 Supported) (system dependent).
The stylish CDM-8930 weighs only 3.3 ounces and measures 3.7" x 1.9" and 0.9".
CDM-8920
The next new exciting ACC handheld is the CDM-8920. A clamshell-style phone, it has a built-in 1.3 mega pixel camera with macro function and built-in flash with auto sensor. This phone gives users the option to send and receive photos directly from their wireless phone or store up to 20 photos on the handset.
Weighing just 3.2 ounces and measuring 3.5"x 1.9" x 0.9", the tri-mode (800 MHz mps/CDMA, 1900 MHz PCS), CDMA2000 1X capable handset (system dependent) features the MSM6050 chipset that is GPSOne(tm) Capable (E911 Phase2 Supported, system dependent).
The full color phone has dual LCD displays with a main 260K TFT 1.8" LCD display (128x 60) and sub 260K TFT 1" LCD display (96x 64) as well as a built-in two-way speakerphone, voice activated dialing and 32 polyphonic ringers. The phone is Java/BREW(tm) capable, data capable with USB interface (up to 144 kbps), TTY capable, ERI capable and has two-way short message service, all system dependent.
CDM-8910
Another camera phone in the Audiovox product line is the CDM-8910. The phone has a built-in CMOS 310K pixel camera, with flash. Boasting a dual LCD display, the main display is a 65K 1.8" TFT color LCD display, with a 1" black & white sub-display.
The CDM-8910 weighs 3.2 ounces and measures 3.5" x 1.9" x 0.9". This phone is tri-mode (800 MHz mps/CDMA, 1900 MHz PCS), CDMA2000 1X Capable (system dependent) and features the MSM6050 chipset that is GPSOne(tm) capable (E911 Phase2 Supported), also system dependent. The CDM-8910 has built-in two-way speakerphone, voice activated dialing and features 32 polyphonic ringers. The phone is Java/BREW(tm) capable, data capable with USB interface (up to 144 kbps), TTY capable, ERI capable and has two-way short message service, all system dependent.
CDM-8615
For those consumers who want to keep their cameras separate from their phones, Audiovox is introducing the CDM-8615. This clamshell-style handset is also great for the budget conscious consumer who wants a phone that is full of features.
With dual LCD displays, including a 1.8" 65K STN color main display and a 1" black and white sub-display, it is data capable with USB interface (up to 144 kbps) (system dependent). It has a two-way built-in speakerphone and two-way short messaging service (system dependent) capability as well as CMX 32 polyphonic ringers and vibrating alert.
The CDM-8615 is a tri-mode (800/1900 MHz CDMA, Amps) phone, measuring 3.5" x 1.8" and 0.9." It is equipped with the MSM6050 chipset, that is GPSOne(tm) (E911 Phase2 Supported), CDMA2000, data capable with USB Interface (up to 144 kbps), all system dependent.
