Genius just launched the SP-HF500A, a two-way Hi-Fi wood-enclosed speaker set that is priced under $50! Great for watching movies from your PC, listening to music or playing video games, the speakers feature a three-inch driver powered by a 14W amplifier. There is also a button for power control and one for timbre right on the front of the speaker cabinet.

Other features include an extra line-in jack to connect an iPod, MP3 player, or CD player without disconnecting the speakers from a PC, as well as a headphone jack for private listening.

The Genius SP-HF500A speakers are priced at $44.99 and will be available in November 2009.

Developed by both Dell and Alienware, five new gaming PCs are hitting the marketplace, including four overclocked liquid-cooled desktop systems and a powerful 15-inch gaming laptop.

Toshiba just unveiled the Qosmio X500 Series, a line of laptops geared for high definition multimedia and gaming.

Qosmio X500 Series laptops feature the new Intel Core i7 processor, an 18.4-inch diagonal widescreen display, Windows 7 and Intel's Turbo Boost Technology. The laptops also offer DDR3 system memory, dual hard-drive configurations, and NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M graphics with 1GB of GDDR5 video memory. Watch out, Kindle! There's a new kid in town – the 8.1-inch IREX DR800SG digital reader. While not in color (a color version is said to be in the works), this e-reader features a touchscreen, access to the Barnes and Noble online store, and will run on Verizon's 3G network.

The IREX DR800SG with a leather cover will be available in October at Best Buy for $399.99. Wireless access to download content is included in the cost of the DR800SG and no contract is required. Read more

Kingston Technology just announced it is increasing read and write speeds on its DataTraveler 410 USB Flash drive to 20MB/sec. read and write. The faster read and write speeds make the DataTraveler 410 perfect for music, videos, high-definition photos and more. It also includes SecureTraveler software which lets you create a password-protected area of the drive called the "Privacy Zone."

MSI Computer has a new netbook in town, the Wind U110 ECO. Weighing just 3.2 pounds and 1.24 inches thick at it widest point, it features the Intel Atom Processor Z530 (1.60GHz), a 160GB HDD and touts a 15+ hours battery life (9-cells).

The U110 also features a 10" backlit LCD with 1024x600 resolution, high definition web cam, 2 speakers, built-in mic, 802.11 b/g/n LAN, and is Bluetooth ready.

NETGEAR today announced NETGEAR Stora, a new network attached storage (NAS) device for home media.
