D-Link unveiled a new network router this week that has it all - 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity with network attached storage (NAS), USB device-sharing, a digital photo frame, FTP server, and it features D-Link's Green Technology for energy savings.

The D-Link Xtreme N DIR-685 has a 3.2-inch LCD screen that displays digital photos, streamed video, weather forecasts and other streaming Internet content. Frame content is easily managed at www.internetphotoframe.com.

Up to one terabyte of data can be stored on a 2.5-inch SATA drive, thanks to the network attached storage (NAS) feature. Amazon announced yesterday they are lowering the price of the Kindle to $259, down from $299. Also, they added a new Kindle to the line-up—Kindle with U.S. & International Wireless. With the new model, you can wirelessly download content in over 100 countries and territories. It is available for pre-order now for $279 at www.amazon.com/kindle and it ships October 19.

The Kindle with U.S. & International Wireless is just over a third of an inch thin (0.36 inches) and weighs around 10 ounces. The device features a 6-inch electronic ink display, 2GB of memory to hold about 1500 books, and has an experimental Text-To-Speech feature, where the Kindle can read most newspapers, magazines, blogs, and books out loud to you. Turtle Beach has a new, affordable gaming headset hitting store shelves soon. The Ear Ear Force Z1 is priced at just $29.95 and is comfortable, foldable, and helps block out outside noise.

The headset includes an oversized, flexible boom mic and can be folded for storage. Twist-style ear cups let the headset rest on the shoulders between gaming sessions, and the noise-reduction ear cushions help block out distractions. The Ear Force Z1 has a ten-foot cable with an in-line remote control with volume and microphone muting. Best Buy Mobile just announced mIQ, a new Web-based service that lets smartphone users access their contacts, text messages, calendar events, calls, photos, videos, and phone settings captured on their mobile devices, from a Web interface on any computer. Once a user signs up for the free service the information is uploaded from the mobile device and backed-up in a personal mIQ account.The service will be free beginning October 12. Read more
