The Sky's the Limit With Disney's You Can Fly! With Tinker Bell
Feb. 13, 2002-- In conjunction with the release of Walt Disney Pictures' animated feature, 'Return to Never Land,' Disney Interactive is debuting the only first-person flying adventure available for girls, 'Disney's You Can Fly! With Tinker Bell' CD-ROM. Featuring one of Disney's most popular characters, players ages six and up can team with Tinker Bell as their partner and roam the skies from London to Never Land with the game that takes players on an action-packed escapade in search of Captain Hook's hidden treasure. "Disney's You Can Fly! With Tinker Bell" is filled with 16 games in six magical locations: London, Lost Boys Hideout, Indian Village, Skull Rock, Mermaid Cove and Starry Skies. Guided by Tinker Bell, players are presented with three games in each location: Challenge, Location Flying and Treasure Map Piece. Each location is filled with exciting activities and enchanting characters. Players must win the Challenge and Location Flying games in each area to collect all the pieces needed to move on to Treasure Map Piece. Sections of the Treasure Map can only be obtained by winning a Treasure Map Piece game. When all five parts of the map have been gathered, Tinker Bell will help locate the treasure. And here, one final competition must be completed. With three levels of difficulty to choose from, everyone can embark on this exciting adventure!
The new title is inspired by Walt Disney Pictures' upcoming all-new animated motion picture, "Return to Never Land." In this story, Wendy has grown up and has children of her own, whom she calms with tales of Peter Pan, the boy who refused to grow up. But Wendy's stubborn 12-year-old daughter, Jane, has no patience for such nonsense, until Captain Hook uses the girl as a pawn in capturing his arch rival. Peter, Tinker Bell and the Lost Boys come to Jane's aid; however, even they cannot make her believe in the magic of imagination. Unless she believes, she cannot fly -- and there is no other way for her to return home. Worse, without Jane's belief in fairies, Tinker Bell cannot survive. As Tink's light slowly begins to fade, Peter strives to find a way to rescue Jane from the dangerous clutches of Captain Hook and show her that with faith, trust and pixie dust, anything is possible.
Available February 18, "Disney's You Can Fly! With Tinker Bell" is Windows 95/98/Me/XP and Macintosh compatible, and has a suggested retail price of $19.99.
