Systemax Slashes Price on Intel Pentium 4 Desktop
Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Systemax (NYSE: SYX), a

small and medium-sized businesses, today introduced a desktop PC with a
1.4 GHz Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 processor for $699, a price point considerably
lower than its competitors.
The PC comes with 128MB RDRAM, a 20 GB hard drive and a CD-ROM. It runs
on Windows(R) Me, and meets the hardware requirements to upgrade to Microsoft
Windows XP(R) when the operating software becomes available later this year.
Three major computer manufacturers price comparable configurations on
their website from $799 to $1063.
