Sim City 3000 Unlimited Leaps Tall Buildings In A Single Bound!

Sim City 3000 As the newest Ambassador of the video game world I have been selected to tell you about Sim City 3000. There have been a lot of Sim games since the introduction of Sim City. Everything from Sim Ant Farms to "The Sims." The Maxis Sim craze just keeps getting bigger. Sim City 3000 Unlimited by far has the most variety compared to any other Sim game.

The long and tedious installation process unfortunately overwhelmed the excitement of playing. The install process to the hard disk was a large one because the game was so detailed. It took approximately 30 minutes to completely install. I myself am impatient, and wanted to play right away. Normally this would become a deterrent for me.

The layout of the game is easy. You have to build a city that is good for both business and home life alike. However if you forget a single little detail like police or water, no one wants to live in your city. Those little Sims are so hard to please. The graphics are good for this type of genre, although the graphics at full zoom need a bit of tweaking. They look like choppy little digital squares at close range. The sounds are great and the music is cool to build to. The most memorable sounds were during one of my Sim riots. The audio was so sharp I could hear the people scream, and ignite fires, as well as breaking window glass. Sadly, this is only a one- player game, but you can have multiple cities.

The fact that the city was simulated as real appealed to me, but the twists of fiction that could be added made it that much more fun. For instance, being at the helm of the alien attack, or having control over impromptu tornados held my interest, but I found myself wishing that there were a Godzilla attack button. That would have topped the already greatly detailed proverbial cake.

There wasn't much action in the game once you started your city, except for the occasional fire, or attack from mars, which are fully controlled by the player. There were no real surprises because the player invents each scenario as the game runs its course. There is no way to beat this game because there is always something new to download off the maxis web page. Whether it is a new building or a whole city scenario that is needed by the player it can be found at the web site www.simcity.com.

The lowest cost of Sim City 3000 Unlimited that I have come across while doing research in my area is $35. It's my opinion that this game is worth the money paid for those people who enjoy this genre of video game. For future builders of the world, it may help you to see the inner factors at work in the actual building of a real city from subways to airways alike. The player controls all of it. In that way this game will never let you down. I'm partial to action games with constant surprises and twists of fate, but as a whole this game proved to be an enjoyable change for a short while.
