New Mac Drive Enclosure Kit Combines Form and Function

May 24, 2005 - AZIO Corp has announced a product designed expressly for Mac enthusiasts, the new Mac Drive Enclosure Kit.

With estimated pricing at $44.95, the Mac Drive Enclosure combines both the function and the coveted Mac style to blend seamlessly with existing Mac desktops, laptops and peripherals. Featuring a resilient, high-impact acrylic case in sleek white with brushed metal case rivets, the drive enclosure converts any 3.5" IDE Hard Disk Drives (UDMA33/66 or ATA-100/133) into a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 external hard drive by simply connecting the drive to the cables inside the enclosure. These drives will begin shipping mid-May.

"We wanted to come to market with products that were designed to seamlessly fit with any Mac user's desktop," said Steve Hsiao, vice president of AZIO Corp. "Mac enthusiasts demand products that satisfy both form and function. Also, many of today's Mac users demand added storage for their many graphics, numerous music files and data-intensive digital videos, so we thought it was important to bring a drive kit enclosure to market that gives Mac users extra storage without having to crack open their computer case!"
