New Email Tool Protects Kids on the Internet
April 2004 -- - Parents can now employ a new tool to scan their child's email before it is seen by the child. kidZmail.com is a safe, parent controlled email that works with existing email software or via the kidZmail.com website. Inappropriate email is on the rise. According to a recent study, ". more than 80 percent of children surveyed who use email receive inappropriate email on a daily basis." Spam can clutter inboxes and imposes uninvited, deceptive, and offensive messages.
Greg Harris, President and CEO of Internet Venture Group conceived kidZmail.com last year. "My child wanted email for her new laptop. I was horrified at the idea of letting her have her own email account. I know what is out there!" says Harris. "Through the use of our kidZmail.com email technology, parents can control all messages that their child will receive or send. This will give parents peace of mind!"
kidZmail.com uses a parent controlled address book to designate all of the child's email recipients. If the sender/receiver is not in the address book, the message is sent to the parent for approval. kidZmail.com offers a free trial of their email system. No payment information is required for the trial period. For more information on the kidZmail.com service, visit www.kidzmail.com
