McAfee Stops Cyber Threats With Latest Antivirus Software

(NYSE:NET), today launched version 7 of McAfee VirusScan Home Edition and VirusScan Professional Edition, enhanced versions of McAfee's award-winning anti-virus software. The new versions contain improved detection and cleaning methods for viruses and other malicious threats, as well as the inclusion of McAfee Firewall. The latest versions of VirusScan include new features such as McAfee's new Script Stopper that prevents infection from rapidly spreading viruses. Other enhancements include improvements to McAfee's Hostile Activity Watch Kernel (HAWK) that monitors and protects users from email-based threats, while improved file cleaning offers users protection against the latest widespread viruses, such as the Klez worm, Sircam, Yaha, and others. VirusScan Home and Professional Edition 7.0 are available today and offer premier protection for the personal and home office market.
