Logitech Introduces ClickSmart DualCams

Cameras Let Users QuickSync(TM) Pictures and Videos Instantly With the PC For Easy Sharing With Family and Friends Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Logitech (Nasdaq: LOGIY; Switzerland: LOGN, LOGZ) today introduced two new DualCams -- the ClickSmart(TM) 310 and ClickSmart(TM) 510. The new products combine easy web communication with the freedom of a digital still camera that captures rich, digital quality images. The cameras offer sophisticated contoured designs, which fit comfortably in the palm and complement any desktop. They can be used attached or detached from a personal computer, offering the flexibility to take pictures and videos both indoors or outdoors. The ClickSmart cameras will be available in U.S., Canadian and European retail outlets and online at http://www.logitech.com in early November.

A recent Logitech survey revealed the Number One thing customers want is an easy to use camera that quickly sends photos or videos electronically. The ClickSmart 310 and 510 offer one-click QuickSync(TM) technology for instant and easy picture downloading, which enables automatic image transfer once the cameras are connected to the PC. Simply connect the camera to the computer through the USB port, and Logitech's integrated software downloads stored images immediately to a photo gallery. Then with just a few mouse clicks, users can quickly send pictures and videos to family and friends via e-mails or web albums.

"ClickSmart cameras provide portability, versatility and features not found in traditional web cameras," said Bruce Friedricks, director of marketing for Logitech's Video Division. "Logitech is continuing its leadership in the Internet video camera market with products like ClickSmart 510 and 310, which reflect consumer desires."
