Interplay, Digital Mayhem and Planet Moon Studios Announce Giant Game For Xbox

New Project Based on Original Franchise Underway For The Xbox Video Game System May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Interplay Entertainment Corp. (Nasdaq: IPLY), in conjunction with Planet Moon Studios and Digital Mayhem, a division of Interplay, announced today plans to develop a project based on the critically acclaimed Giants(TM) franchise for the Xbox(TM) video game system from Microsoft. Planet Moon, who developed the award-winning Giants PC game, will develop the yet untitled project for Digital Mayhem. The project will provide a unique and original experience for video game system gamers by taking advantage of the unique characters, clever fiction and innovative graphics of the original franchise while also capitalizing on the considerable technical capabilities of Xbox, including the system's ability to display incredibly vivid textures and richly detailed character models. The powerful processing capabilities found in the Xbox video game system will also allow Planet Moon to create stunning world models combined with innovative effects that will completely take their franchise to a new level.
