GameGuy Hooked on Championship BassGame play includes compelling strategies that must be used to advance a level in Championship Bass. Casts must be targeted properly, lures chosen wisely, and time used effectively in order to pass a level. Early levels begin in backwater holes, which are relatively stationary and slowly proceed to large lakes complete with heavy currents and boat maneuvers. Fish must be found amongst rocks, stumps, underwater trees, docks, and weeds. Different techniques must be used to accommodate the seasons, changing weather, altering temperatures, and even varying wind speeds. Levels are passed when enough bass are landed to place the fisher in the top three competitors. Early on these computer competitor fishermen hardly land any bass, but later, watch out, they'll catch more fish than Star Kist. After beating every level, most games are put on the shelf along with those old strategy games, but this isn't the case with Championship Bass. The game features special bonuses among every level which include special casts, boat modes, and lures so the game is not truly beaten until every bonus is earned and until every level is finished in first place. Even then this game can be played online against another player or against a friend. Not only was EA Sports’ Championship Bass interesting, it also was extremely easy to install. Using only a very basic 366 Pentium II, I was able to run the program without any glitches or re-installations in just a few minutes. Championship Bass’ controls adapt readily to a mouse, making the game easy to learn. Additionally, Championship Bass is not like many games that suddenly get too difficult or too easy. Instead it gradually eases you in to more challenges. Bottom Line: EA Sports has cranked out another high quality sporting game…Championship Bass. www.easports.com [] Similar |
