Easily Share Memories with Family and Friends with New HP ScannersJULY 15, 2003 – HP just introduced the HP Scanjet 3670 and 3970 digital flatbed scanners. With the ability to capture photos, slides, negatives, documents, and even 3-D objects, the scanners simplify the sharing of memories with family and friends. The HP Scanjet 3670 scanner offers 1200-dpi optical resolution for clear, crisp scans and the HP Scanjet 3970 scanner offers 2400-dpi optical resolution for impressive photo quality and crisp text. A transparent materials adapter built-in to the lid allows users to transform 35 mm slides and negatives into digital images for easy sharing, printing and storing. Additionally, convenient one-touch buttons, located on the front panel of the scanners, provide users with convenient access to scan, copy or launch HP Instant Share functions. The HP Scanjet 3970 also includes a one-touch button for quick and easy access to HP Memories Disc Creator, which allows users to create personalized digital slide shows on a CD that can be viewed with a DVD player and a TV or on the computer. HP Instant Share technology enables users to send digital images via e-mail to friends and family, without attachments or slow downloads. Recipients of the e-mail will be able to click on the thumbnail image to then download or print the full-resolution image. The new scanners also ship with HP Photo & Imaging software, which allows users to easily edit and resize digital images and scanned documents. The HP Scanjet 3670 and HP Scanjet 3970 scanners are expected to sell for an estimated U.S. street price of $79 and $99, respectively.
