The included setup wizard provides simple setup for shared access to the Internet and network resources in minutes with just 4 or 5 clicks. Integrated help screens, a glossary of networking terms and an FAQ section provide additional resources for answering common setup, configuration and functionality questions. Additionally, configuration profiles for the AirPro DI-764 can be saved to the computer's hard drive for quick and easy network recovery if the router should ever need to be reset.

Advanced Traffic Filtering
The D-Link AirPro DI-764 employs the advanced traffic filtering features of URL blocking, Domain blocking, IP address blocking and MAC address authentication. These features can be quickly and effectively employed through the intuitive web-based configuration interface. URL blocking allows administrators to block websites with domain names that contain specific words. Domain blocking allows administrators to input the web address of a specific site and block all sub sites that are listed off of the main domain in addition to the home page. IP address blocking allows administrators to block access to the Internet for specific PCs on the network during certain times of the day or indefinitely. MAC address authentication and advanced logging and filtering functions give administrators even more control over their network by not only stopping hackers in their tracks, but by providing information about the intruder to aid in the prevention of any further attacks.

Advanced Firewall/Router Functions
Administrators and advanced users looking for extended network management controls will also appreciate the depth of configuration options available in the advanced settings area of the user interface in the AirPro DI-764. Virtual Private Network (VPN) pass through support is provided for multiple simultaneous IPSec, L2TP and PPTP sessions by the router's Network Address Translation (NAT) protocol that protects networked PCs from outside intruders. The built-in web server powers a remote management function with two levels of password protection -- one for administrators and one for network clients. The integrated firewall can be set to block specific IP addresses or all outside traffic from accessing your network to keep your information safe.

It supports 8 non-overlapping channels that reduce Co-Channel Interference (CCI) in densely deployed wireless LANs to maximize individual client network throughput. This powerful router features strong security with support for 152-bit WEP encryption at full line speed without noticeable performance degradation, as well as unique per link keys, and dynamic key exchange.

IEEE 802.11b Compliant 2.4GHz & Enhanced 2.4GHz Wireless Connectivity

Additionally, even greater performance can be achieved when the TI Packet Binary Convolutional Coding (PBCCTM) modulation option is employed, which allows users to take full advantage of the fastest wireless speeds available in the 2.4GHz radio spectrum, while remaining compatible with existing 802.11b networks.
