While 3COM's Audrey, Gateway's AOL IA and many other Internet appliances have bit the dust over the past year, Compaq is on a roll introducing two new IA's to its stable: The IPAQ IA-1 and IA-2. These new devices are broadband ready and hooray! allow you to use your own ISP. The IA-1 is a slightly smaller version with an LCD panel and is about $100 more than the IA-2 which uses a CRT screen. The IA-1 is priced at $399 and the IA-2 is $299 including 6 months free MSN Internet access.
