Verizon Wireless Offers Sport Enthusiasts Two New Mobile Games

September 4, 2002 --When you don't have time to hit the links on a real golf course, try "teeing up" on the fly with Ultimate Golf Challenge, a new wireless game now offered on selected Verizon Wireless phones. Or when you can't get to the nearest pool hall to play a few games with your buddies or have some time to kill before that next business meeting, put NineBall in your pocket and rack up the fun!

ZIO Interactive's Ultimate Golf provides you with a fun, easy-to-learn golf game played on your wireless device that simulates the strategic and physical challenges golf enthusiasts face on a real course. Ultimate Golf Challenge is an 18-hole course totaling nearly 7,000 yards. Players are given the option to play 3, 6, 9, or 18 holes of golf, depending on their preference.

Players face tough challenges such as negotiating around trees and sand traps, maneuvering around slopes of the green and even facing wind conditions with various speeds and directions. Your success will depend on selecting the correct club (there are 14 clubs from which to choose), determining how hard to hit the ball using the power meter and choosing to add a fade or a draw. Ultimate Golf Challenge also includes a convenient auto save feature which saves the state of your game when in mid-stream.

ZIO Interactive's popular NineBall game is now in a convenient, mobile version for wireless phones. NineBall provides players with an exceptionally good gaming experience by combining all of the elements of playing traditional nineball with stunning graphics and realistic game-playing features. Mobile players have the ability to aim and select the strength of the shot from very soft to very hard. NineBall users can add "english" (i.e. spin) to their shots just like the pros do. Players have the flexibility to choose the ball they want to hit and how the cue ball will react after hitting the ball. Users can play against a friend or a challenging virtual opponent - their choice.

Nineball's features add up to a great playing experience that is not only fun and easy-to-learn, but also a challenge to master.

Both games are now available on selected BREW-enabled Verizon Wireless phones. For more information, visit your local Verizon Wireless dealer.
