Verizon Wireless Offers a Pocket PC and Wireless Phone Duo in Western U.S

Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless communications provider and a leader in wireless data products and services, is the first to introduce Maestro, a Microsoft(R) Windows-powered Pocket PC, paired with a companion CDM-9100 wireless phone, harnessing full internet access and a broad array of wireless data capabilities in just under 10 ounces.

The product, currently available in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington, is the latest in a series of wireless data product and service launches by Verizon Wireless, the most recent of which was the exclusive introduction of the Motorola V200 Personal Communicator, which incorporates a miniaturized QWERTY keyboard for easy use.

"The Maestro is the ultimate in mobile connectivity," said Tom Roberts, vice president, marketing for the West Area. "A simple, single cable connection between the handset and the Pocket PC allows the user to surf the Internet, check and send email, or browse, shop or trade on the web."

The included USB cradle allows the Pocket PC to communicate with the user's personal computer.
