Verizon Wireless Introduces Mobile Messenger
Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning today, Verizon Wireless customers
in greater Denver, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins can enjoy Mobile
Messenger(SM), the company's new two-way text messaging service.
Verizon Wireless customers coast to coast can join in an emerging
communications craze -- staying in touch easily and quietly by swapping
messages via their digital wireless handsets.
Mobile Messenger(SM) is fun, fast, discreet and inexpensive. It increases the utility of wireless handsets by giving consumers two choices in how they use their phones to communicate: talk and text. Messages can be sent from another Verizon Wireless two-way messaging-capable handset, any Internet e-mail address or from www.msg.myvzw.com. Customers can send and receive short 120 character messages quickly with Mobile Messenger(SM) by just tapping the keypad. Mobile Messenger(SM) offers a way to keep in touch with others whether in the movies, at the mall, in a restaurant, or in a meeting. "Swapping messages via wireless handsets is quickly catching on as users get accustomed to the convenience, flexibility and enjoyment two-way text messaging offers," said Marni Walden, regional president for Verizon Wireless in the Mountain region. "Mobile Messenger is fun and functional, giving users the ability to keep in touch without having a long conversation." There's no need to subscribe to the service, since Verizon Wireless customers with two-way text messaging-capable phones can just "pay as they go" with Mobile Messenger(SM). Verizon Wireless is currently featuring the new Kyocera QCP 3035a and 2035a, the Motorola 120c and v60, Audiovox 9100, Nokia 5185i and the LG 510 which has Mobile Messenger(SM) capabilities. For messaging enthusiasts, the company also offers two Mobile Messenger(SM) packages, one priced at $2.99 for 100 received or sent messages; and the second priced at $7.99 for 600 received or sent messages.
