Toshiba Introduces Notebook With Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

July 9, 2002-- To meet the needs of today's mobile PC users who are demanding power, performance and added sophistication, Toshiba's Computer Systems Group (CSG) today announces the introduction of the Satellite 1955-S801, a unique portable PC featuring a super-size display and innovative wireless technology.

Delivering an unparalleled mobile computing environment, the Satellite 1955-S801 combines a detachable wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse with a stunning 16.0" diagonal SXGA display to create a perfect balance of power, flexibility and engineering expertise for less than $2,500.

The power behind the Satellite 1955-S801 is the Intel Pentium 4 processor, 2.0GHz, a 40GB hard disk drive and 512MB of SDRAM ready to handle any application with ease. As a result, users can take desktop power on the road, while remaining productive with the Satellite 1955's high capacity Lithium-Ion battery, which gives users ample time to work on a presentation. To maximize the theater experience of the 16.0" diagonal display, the Satellite 1955 comes outfitted with a detachable wireless keyboard. Users can easily detach the keyboard while watching a DVD movie, and a wireless mouse complements the keyboard for additional flexibility.
