Targus Rolls Out CityGear Case Line

June 21, 2004—Targus Inc., inventor of the notebook case and the preeminent provider of mobile accessory solutions, today revealed its new CityGear notebook case line. The three briefcase-style cases and one backpack incorporate contemporary styling and functional designs, ideal for the urban commuter, mobile professional or student.

With sporty black, gray and yellow exteriors, the cases will appeal to fashion-conscious users who appreciate Targus’ top-level protection and practical product design elements. Padded notebook compartments and durable nylon exteriors ensure safe notebook transport, while keeping cases lightweight. Multiple compartments keep users organized and make accessories easy to find, including a front zippered pocket for quick access to airline tickets and passports, a zip-down workstation with mobile accessory storage, pen loops, business card holders, key clips, a removable mobile phone pouch and a side hidden water bottle pocket. Rubberized zipper pulls and padded shoulder straps ensure maximum user comfort.

“With four unique options, the CityGear line provides a case design to suit the needs of a broad range of notebook computer users,” said Sandra Wirth, product manager for Targus. “Stylish, urban exteriors give way to detailed interiors that maximize the available space of the cases without adding additional weight. We have anticipated the lifestyle needs of urban users, and incorporated many features that accommodate those needs.”
