Sony Introduces EZ Editor for MICRO MV and Enhances Line
Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Electronics is launching a
video editing kit designed for use with MICRO MV camcorders. The new EZ
Editor MICRO MV kit joins the company's line of "E-Z" editing solutions for
different video formats, including EZ Editor DV and EZ Editor Digital 8. Sony
has enhanced all three EZ products, which will now help consumers to transfer
personal video movies onto CD and DVD recordable discs.
A complete solution for PC-based video editing of Digital Video (DV) or Digital 8 and now MICRO MV camcorder tapes, Sony's EZ Editor kits help to import raw footage from a camcorder onto a PC; transform that material into personal movies by selecting only the content the user wants to keep; add music or voice-over narration, professional-looking titles and transition effects; and then output edited videos onto a CD-R disc, DVD recordable disc or camcorder tape. "We designed the Sony EZ Editor kits to enable consumers to extract the greatest value and functionality from their digital camcorders," said Tom Evans, vice president of marketing for Sony Electronics' media and application solutions division. "The extended line up, now including the MICRO MV kit, provides a new level of simplicity in migrating digital video content to a PC, making it much easier to create and share personal movies with family and friends." Available this fall, all three EZ editing solutions -- EZ Editor DV, EZ Editor Digital 8 and EZ Editor MICRO MV -- will come with everything needed to personalize home movies, including Pinnacle's Studio AV version 8SE software, an i.LINK IEEE 1394 digital interface card, i.LINK IEEE 1394 cables, and two blank video cassettes. In addition, the kits will include one blank 80-minute Sony CD-R disc and carry a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $99.95. []If you like this site then please subscribe to our full feed RSS.
