Siemens Announces Affordable A56 GSM Mobile Phone

Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of an international launch event in New York, Siemens today announced it would provide the A56 mobile phone to U.S. customers in Q4 of this year. The 850/1900 MHz GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) phone is designed to meet everyday communication needs with fashionable design and high-quality technology. The A56 mobile phone can be easily personalized for individual tastes through numerous interchangeable color CLIPit front/back covers and a variety of downloadable ring tones and display images.

Staying in touch with family and friends is made easy and fun with various communication capabilities. If a user needs to contact multiple people simultaneously with an important text message, he or she can use Short Messaging Service (SMS) to group. The A56 mobile phone also supports Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS), allowing users to more fully express themselves by adding sounds, animation and graphics to their text messages. And the phone also has conference call capabilities for looping more than one person into a conversation.

The A56 mobile phone is able to reflect a user's tastes and style with a variety of personalization options. Users can select various animations as screensavers. The customer can liven up incoming calls by assigning different images and ring tones to the callers. If users want a fresh look to the phone's exterior, they can select from a variety of interchangeable CLIPit covers available from Siemens Original Partners. Siemens will also provide the opportunity for users to create personalized covers using their own digital images and to choose from a variety of templates via its my-CLIPit Service available at www.my-siemens.com . Ring tones in numerous music genres and many phone display images can also be downloaded.
