Seiko Introduces New Spanish English Translator

July 18, 2002 – Seiko Instruments Austin, Inc. (SIAS), a worldwide leader in “Instruments of Intelligence,” today introduced the newest edition to its line of translators -- the TR2250, featuring over 800,000 translations with advanced verb conjugation, and over 5,500 phrases, both with “keyword(s) search, making it easier to locate a word or phrase in either language.

In addition to 800,000 plus translations, advanced verb conjugation, and over 5,500 phrases, Seiko incorporated many additional benefits into the TR2250, including a databank, that gives users the ability to create a database of contact information including, name, phone, address and e-mail and an Inflection Search, which allows users to find a word in various forms, such as different tenses. Additionally, the TR2250 contains a World Time Clock that lets users keep track of time locally and worldwide in over 100 cities, an Expense Manager to help keep travelers up-to-date on their daily expenses, and challenging games to help pass the time.

The TR2250 also incorporates the EZ-Learn word list for quick reference to a users personally stored words, features a currency/metric/clothing size converter, a two-line/twenty-character display with adjustable contrast, automatic shut off to help extend the life of the battery (included), and a help function. The product, packaged in a sleek blue and silver case, measures 3” (L) x .56” (H) x 4.125” (W) and weighs 2.4 ounces.

The TR2250 will be available in October for an estimated street price of $19.99.
