Samsung’s New ML-1430 Laser Printer Raises the Bar for Entry-Level Printers“As the entry-level model in our new ML-1400 series of laser printers, the ML-1430 is designed to offer home and small office users many of the benefits of a high- quality laser printer at a more affordable price,” said Chanel O’Connor, Printer Product Manager for Samsung’s Digital Information Technology Division (DITD). “This printer’s low operating cost makes it an ideal fit for any home or office, even one that generates a large number of text documents.” Solid and compact, the ML-1430 supports a wide range of Operating Systems including Windows 95/98/2000/ME/NT4.0/XP and Macintosh OS 8.6 and above. In addition, it supports a wide distribution of Linux OS including Red Hat, Caldera, Debian, Mandrake, Slackware, SuSE and Turbo Linux. The ML-1430 comes with built-in parallel and USB ports. The ML-1430 features all of the cost-saving benefits standard to Samsung laser printers, including the company’s unique Toner Save technology. The one-touch Toner Save Button reduces toner consumption by up to 40%, saving consumers and businesses money through fewer replacement cartridges. Ideal for generating draft documents, the toner save actually extends the life of the printers’ 2,500-page toner cartridge to 3,500 pages when activated. The ML-1430 also features Samsung’s convenient N-up printing mode, which enables the user to display up to 16 pages of text on a single sheet. N-up printing is particularly useful for previewing the layout of lengthy documents and presentations without wasting vast amounts of paper and toner. Its 150-sheet paper input tray enables the ML-1430 to handle a wide variety of paper stocks and sizes including envelopes, labels, card stock or transparencies. User-friendly controls allow you to reprint the last printed page and to cancel a print job at the touch of a button. The ML-1430 is backed by Samsung's one-year parts and labor warranty.
