Panasonic Presents the Perfect Way to Illuminate Your Laptop

November, 2002 - Created for the mobile professional, Panasonic's innovative new Laptop LED Lite will evenly light a laptop workspace without disturbing others. Three high-brightness LED lamps provide even distribution of light and help diminish the eyestrain that can occur with traditional bulbs.

"The Laptop LED Lite is perfect for consumers who have to work while on the road," says Lawrence Hershkowitz, marketing manager for Panasonic Commercial and Residential Products. "It's particularly useful in low-light environments like airplanes. The user can see the entire work area, even in a totally dark setting."

A special 360-degree swivel clip design allows the user to control the direction of the light without moving the entire lamp, providing maximum brightness over the entire viewing area. Additionally, the soft glow of the LED lamps eliminates the need to move the focus point of the lamp.

For further convenience, the laptop light is powered by your computer's USB port. Simply insert the connector into the port to instantly illuminate the keyboard and surrounding area. The light is designed to consume only approximately two minutes of battery power per hour of use, having minimal effect on the efficiency of the laptop battery.

The laptop light is both PC and MAC compatible and weighs just over one ounce.

Panasonic's Laptop LED Lite is currently available at retail, and has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $14.95.
