Panasonic today announces the availability of their MyEyeCam.com service, which allows home owners and small businesses to monitor their children or employees while they are away from home through speedy, secure URL access to a Panasonic Network camera. Panasonic's MyCam.com service offers a permanent, personal URL that ensures speedy and secure access from anywhere in the world to security footage. Previously, network camera footage could only be accessed by the lengthy process of determining the current IP address of the home or office network running the camera. For consumers and small businesses, that IP address changes multiple times a day. The camera can be used with an IP address service other than my EyeCam.com. However, if you use the Panasonic service, you eliminate the need for a computer at all, as the service runs through the camera on it's own.
