Panasonic Announces New Phone System Manager Software
June 2004 -- The Panasonic KX-A281 Phone System Manager is now available through local Panasonic-certified dealers for use with the company's proprietary KX-TD1232 and KX-TD816 Digital Super Hybrid phone systems. After dealer installation, this efficient Windows-based software application can be used by PBX owners to more cost-effectively and efficiently manage their Panasonic systems.
"The new System Manager software's convenient point-and-click interface can be used on any desktop PC or laptop to easily manage Panasonic's KX-TD1232 or KX-TD816 PBX system," says Mark Balsama, Group Manager, Communication Systems, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. "It's the ideal tool for day-to-day system management, which can result in substantial time and cost-savings."
At the click of a mouse, PBX users can instantly make changes in the following areas:
- Extensions: Assign a user's name and extension to each PBX system telephone.
- Speed Dials: Assign one-touch buttons to the most frequently dialed numbers.
- Flexible CO Keys: Point and click to assign the most-often-used features to each extension's Central Office (CO) line buttons. This programming can then be copied to other extensions or each extension can be customized according to the individual user's needs.
- DIL1N Extension: Program individual extensions to ring a specific number of times before sending the call to voice mail or to another extension. Other options include "delayed ring" or "no ring".
The KX-A281 Phone System Manager also includes other built-in components and uses. For example, users can print professional-looking labels for each telephone's CO buttons to indicate extension numbers, speed dial, and more. Or, they can use the built-in Call Accounting program to analyze and report on PBX activity including trunk usage, lost calls and busy incoming call periods, then adjust PBX usage accordingly. Finally, to make it easy to bill clients for telephone usage, the software can also be used to track calls made for individual clients and generate monthly billing statements for each.
"Although purchasing this software requires an initial investment, it will result in a savings in both time and money in the long run," Balsama added.
The KX-A281 Phone System Manager is available now from Panasonic Distributors and sold and installed by Panasonic-trained KX-TDA Certified Dealers only.
