Pioneer DV-333 People plagued by repetitive strain injury can throw away their keyboards. Inventor Peter McAlidon has come up with orbiTouch, a pair of domes that fit comfortably under your hands. Each dome can be pushed in eight positions corresponding to the eight main compass directions (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W and NW). Different combinations of these movements emulate a Qwerty keyboard. Trials show that most people manage to get back up to 52 percent of their original typing speed after just five hours of practice, says McAlidon. www.keybowl.com.
