New Panasonic Small Office Laser Fax/Copier for Business Use

June 17, 2003 -- Designed with the business user in mind, the new Panasonic KX-FL511 Laser Fax and Copier is an economical, yet heavy-duty model that can easily handle the often high-volume needs of the small office environment, while maintaining a low cost of operation.

More durable than a unit made for home use, the new KX-FL511 is capable of handling the flow of faxes required for the typical small office. It features a 220-sheet paper capacity, a 2,500-page toner cartridge and 10,000-page drum that makes its cost of operation extremely efficient - a mere 2.4 cents a page.

Additionally, the new model has a 14.4 bps fax modem to ensure transmissions are sent quickly, while a 20-page document feeder is designed to accommodate lengthy faxes. To easily send the same document to multiple recipients, the user can enlist the unit's broadcast fax feature by using a bank of three buttons that can each store up to 20 fax numbers in memory.

For incoming faxes, the KX-FL511 maintains a speedy 12-page-per-minute print-out rate and can print faxes in Standard, Fine, Super Fine or Photo resolution. And, for those rare occasions when paper runs low, a 2MB memory will temporarily store incoming faxes until the paper supply is restored.

An advanced integrated telephone system with a Telephone Directory Navigator makes it easy to call a fax recipient to say the document is being sent. The directory's memory can store up to 122 telephone numbers, which are easily accessed via the navigator key. Scroll up or down through the directory until the desired number appears in the LCD display. Then, lift the handset and the number will automatically dial. The KX-FL511 also includes a one-touch dial list, monitor speaker, automatic fax/phone switching, distinctive ring detection and Caller ID-compatibility.

This new model also features an enhanced copier function that lets users enlarge or reduce an original document. The copier can sort and collate multi-page, multi-document jobs made from one original. Copies are printed with 64 levels of photo-level resolution.

"The KX-FL511 takes faxing and copying to the next level," said Mike Timar, National Product Manager of Facsimile and IP Products, Panasonic Communications and Home Office Electronics Division, "yet doesn't cost an exorbitant amount to purchase or to operate. It's the perfect addition to today's small office or home-based businesses."

Panasonic understands how important it is for a small business to have uninterrupted fax service. That's why every Panasonic fax machine is backed by the Panasonic Fax Advantage Program - a consumer support and free replacement unit+ service - at no extra cost.
