Fujitsu Unveils ScanSnap! Scanner with Adobe Acrobat 6.0Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced availability of the Fujitsu ScanSnap! scanning solution that includes a complete version of the recently introduced Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard software, further enabling business professionals to quickly convert paper documents into searchable Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files that are easily shared, organized and protected. ScanSnap! Features Fujitsu's ScanSnap! provides a simple user interface that requires no special training in order for the user to be immediately productive. The scanner connects to the PC via USB port allowing for quick installation and use. Multi-page documents containing color and black and white, text and graphic information, and text on one or both sides are automatically processed into searchable Adobe PDF files at the touch of a button, with simplex or duplex color scanning delivered with only one pass-through the scanner. The resulting Adobe PDF images are stored in the Windows file system on a local PC or network, allowing the user to interact with this information as they would with any other file. Its Adobe PDF thumbnail view feature makes project management even easier. In addition, the scanner is equipped with a 50-page automatic document feeder (ADF), a complete version of Acrobat 6.0 Standard software, a $299 (U.S. list) value, and CardMinder, an application designed to capture images and information contained on either side of a business card. This information can then be easily exported to such databases as ACT!, Goldmine, Outlook and Outlook Express.
