Corex Technologies Announces AccuCard for OutlookNovember 2003—Corex Technologies Corporation, the leading developer of contact maintenance and business card scanning solutions, recently announced AccuCard for Outlook, the latest product in its contact maintenance platform, designed to end the problem of out-of-date business contact data. Based on a successful feature of its flagship product CardScan—the world’s number one business card scanning solution—AccuCard for Outlook is an automatic updating service that fully integrates with Microsoft Outlook. The AccuCard for Outlook software, available for a yearly subscription fee of $49.95, provides users with an easy and cost-effective way to ensure that their contact information is always up-to-date and accurate. The Data Warehousing Institute estimates that bad data costs U.S. companies more than $600 billion a year. A large part of that problem comes from businesses having out-of-date contact data for customers and prospects. AccuCard for Outlook solves the problem of dirty data by automatically updating contact information and flagging any data that cannot be verified or corrected. This enables users to maintain accurate contact lists and eliminates the frustration and wasted time resulting from out-of-date contact information. “Corex already dominates the industry of capturing contact information – our CardScan business card readers are by far the leading product of their kind," said Jonathan Stern, president and CEO of Corex. "AccuCard for Outlook is a logical extension, giving Outlook users the ability to automatically keep all their contact information fresh and current. In the future, we look forward to rolling out AccuCard for additional platforms, making Corex the de facto leader in the capture and maintenance of contact information, for the individual and the enterprise." AccuCard for Outlook is a sophisticated piece of software that functions independently of, but fully integrates with Microsoft Outlook, the most popular contact manager with more than 93 million users. AccuCard for Outlook users are able to easily install the service on their PCs by going directly to Corex’s Web site—www.corex.com. After a simple three-step download process, the Outlook users’ address book comes to life. E-mail notifications are sent to contacts only once per quarter, requesting that they either update or confirm their information. Once a contact updates his or her information, update notifications automatically appear in the AccuCard for Outlook user’s address book. Users also receive a “review updates” prompt that appears as changes occur so that they can see what contact data is being amended. “The key to ensuring that routine work gets done is to find an easy way to automate it," said industry analyst Amy Wohl, editor of Amy D. Wohl's Opinions. "AccuCard for Outlook provides a way to eliminate outdated information with minimal effort. Integrating with Outlook makes the task easy and familiar for many users." Corex has built the AccuCard for Outlook service with users’ and contacts’ privacy and security in mind. Among the privacy and security features in the service are:
“I have 3,000 contacts in Outlook that I depend on for business,” said Steve Nelson, president of SureTec Information Systems, Inc., an insurance agency in Austin, Texas. “AccuCard for Outlook is an absolute time-saver, as it is a self-updating service that keeps all of my contact information current without any effort on my part. The service assures me that all of my business contact information is up-to-date and actionable, so I don’t need to worry about tracking people down.” Pricing and Availability SOURCE Cortex Technologies []If you like this site then please subscribe to our full feed RSS.
